In just a matter of months, 4 African countries have had coups that have seen the ousting of their leaders. Leaders they claim are puppets placed by France so they can do whatever they want with the country and their resources.

One may think they are wrong, but the fact this got France angry and threatens to retaliate sends a message of what is really happening. France has threatened to wage an attack on Niger who just had a military coup and says the military are a threat to their interests. They just displaced over 1000 troops from Mali to the capital city of Niger.

But why is France so worried? What interests are they protecting? Well, if you haven’t been current, let me bring you up to speed.

Niger military leaders placed a ban on the export of uranium and gold especially to France. Uranium is a major mineral needed by France in its nuclear power plants. Uranium from Niger powers over one third of homes in France; yet, over 85% of Niger doesn’t know what electricity is.

Isn’t that unfair?

I mean it is only fair if France helped in developing places and make them enjoy even a piece of their uranium. As a matter of fact, it is not just France. 25% of uranium entering the European Union comes from Niger. It is only logical that one day people will come to the realization that they are being cheated. And they just did.

But France has decided they won’t let it slide. France says it will do everything to protect its interests in Niger. It will be important to note that the USA also has a military base in Niger. Also you can remember it is a NATO member too. And you know whenever any NATO country is at war, other NATO-member countries come to help. This is exactly what is about to happen. The military leaders of Niger’s neighboring countries noticed the pattern and decided to back Niger.

Who are these leaders and what pattern have they notice, and why do they back Niger?

Well, Mali and Burkina Faso have also had coups and their countries taken over by the military leaders too. Mali is led by Assimi Goïta and Burkina Faso is led by Ibrahim Traore. These two are strongly in favor of France leaving all of French-Africa. They also warn that any attack on Niger means an attack on Mali and Burkina Faso too. They warned France the US that they won’t hesitate to sending troops to back Niger.

Other ECOWAS member states condemn these act especially as the president of Niger is held hostage and they demand that he be freed. They also gave Niger a 7-day ultimatum to let him go. As a matter of Fact, Nigeria has closed its borders and stopped all trade with Niger. The economy between Niger and Nigeria has slowed as a result of this and the people of Niger suffer already as the country’s economy heavily depended on Nigeria. The concern of Mali and Burkina Faso is that they see this as the same thing that happened to Libya. The fight starts with one NATO member and at the end of the day the country is at war with many NATO members.

Can you see the similarity?

Libya is in bad shape today because of its richness in oil. Congo is in constant conflict because it is so rich in natural resources and only one person is benefiting from this: France. Today Niger bans the export of its natural resources and it becomes a threat to France’s interest.

Do you think Niger should continue trading with France for peace to reign? Do you think Burkina Faso and Mali should send in troops to defend Niger?

As for us fellow Africans, we love to see a world where every country uses its resources to make its people happy and rich while sharing a bit of God’s blessings to the world with other countries. Niger is the second poorest country in the world and this isn’t fair. They have what it takes to make them rich and comfortable. It is only fair if they got a share of that.

While other African came to the same conclusion, the African continent continues to shock the world, spelling massive implications for Europe and United States. Many of the Western leaders are now freaking out and it’s kind of enjoyable watching them squirm in panic.

It is now an emergency as the dominoes begin to fall. This is evident looking at this map of Africa that was published Friday the 4th of this month. These are all of the African nations that have now signed military agreements with Russia and even a few of those in white are getting ready to partner with Russia as well. That’s a lot of Red.

The past two weeks have seen dramatic developments. Russian flags were raised in the air throughout the continent; and first in Niger, the country that started it all, the Russian flags were everywhere. The government of Niger has now signed a contract with the Russian Wagner Group for security, which they need as coup in Niger has entered a point of no return right now.

The western powers that have controlled Niger for decades are now being pushed out. In the first weekend of this month, military leaders declared that Niger would no longer be a European colony. And they’ve demanded that all French soldiers get out immediately or face the consequences.

On the other hand, one can’t help but wonder why the United States have troops in this country in the first place. Over the course of last week, the US started dropping massive amounts of military cargo right near the Niger border with its warplanes. They have been getting ready to attack Niger to try stop its new regime.

However, this threat is not stopping the people of Niger. Tens of thousands of people were marching in this country in the last weekend, celebrating their independence and shouting “no to foreign military bases,” “no to poverty,” “no to the west stealing their uranium, their phosphates, and other minerals.” All of the ambassadors’ offices to Niger’s public mission services: the United States, France, Nigeria, and Togo have all been terminated by the Niger’s government.

The head of the military just made this announcement that other African nations are now showing their support for Niger and started saying the very same thing: “get out of our country.” The people in Senegal have been seen rising against western colonial governments controlling their country.

The CIA, MI6, and other western intelligence services are doing whatever they can right now trying to hold on the power in these countries with their puppet governments. The people in West Africa are fiercely anti-American imperialism, so, it wasn’t a surprise then to see the country of Guinea announce they are supporting Niger as well. One of Guinea’s military leaders issued a statement that:

The Republic of Guinea has a Pan-Africanist vision and is in solidarity with the people of Niger.

Despite all of the support given to Niger by African allies, the American military continues to maintain its position. This can be explained by a story that no one is talking about, which is the massive pipeline that is nearly set to go online. It starts in Nigeria, then it flows through Niger on its way to Europe. Chevron in the United States, have already invested $13 billion into this pipeline.

After the Nord Stream pipeline destruction, Chevron stepped up production to get this up and running, speeding up and fast-tracking the construction. But now the people of Niger are like: “wait a second, why are we going to allow a pipeline to flow through our country so Europe can have natural gas? They are doing nothing for us. They continue to steal from us. So, no more pipeline.”

This why Europe is now terrified. The United States already blew up the Nord Stream pipeline, put their own pipeline into action in Africa, but now they have lost access to it. Europe is facing a catastrophe with no Nord Stream pipeline coming from Russia any longer and now the threat of this pipeline being shut down through Africa. This pipeline was their salvation and now add the lack of uranium for nuclear power.

United States for instance get over 50% of its uranium from Russia. That’s why despite all the sanctions the US placed against Russia, they left uranium out off the list as they needed it so badly. They needed uranium desperately. But why?

United States is so heavily dependent on Russia for uranium that Putin could literally flip a switch and destroy the American economy by turning off the lights. A major back up resource of uranium is Niger. The United States and the French have been essentially stealing uranium from African countries for decades.

Today, these African countries are declaring that enough is enough and as sovereign countries, they are going to keep their own minerals, make their own decisions, and Russia is giving them that option right now. Russia wants Niger to keep its sovereignty, to be an independent country, not a slave to the west.

Africa Bureau chief, Musa Ibrahim explained in a recent interview that:

What Africa wants is to gain back their wealth. The want to gain back their uranium, their gold, their iron, their phosphates, their oil, their gas. And this scares the west because this means the true democracy will take place in Africa when people actually own their own land, and the wealth of Africa does not go untaxed, unsupervised from the mines in Niger, to the banks of Paris and the financial sector in Britain.

He is evidently right as Niger’s coup is not happening in a vacuum. This isn’t a singular event. African countries are now pushing back against this neo-colonialism in a larger, multi-polar world. The unipolar order that America has ruled for many years, seeking to keep their boot on necks of Africans, is not going to stand anymore.

Africans are seeking to regain their national sovereignty. African countries are for instance going to enrich their own uranium, sell it to the west, and get paid rightfully for it; no more theft. Africa is in the middle of a revolution right now.
