Kenyan Intellects Driven Out of the Country Because of a Corrupt Employment System.

A few years back, I had a conversation with one of my pals that we used to live together, in Roysambu. A very  intelligent one, about Corruption in Kenya disguised as Connections and how it is affecting the  Intellects. My pal Kiptoo and I discussed unemployment in Kenya and how the people we once termed as intellects are losing their minds while many are emigrating abroad. This is what  intrigued me, which is by far, the most brutal honesty I have ever seen.

Kiptoo wrote a small message and I quote:

"For all the young bright people in this country who have been made to feel like they wronged society for doing well in school, you’re not the problem. Don’t beat yourself up  too much. Kenya is a fundamentally flawed European idea. The relationship between work and reward has been severely defiled in this country.  Instead of productive work being respected and rewarded, we operate under a system that rewards political obedience, sycophancy, ignorance, and ass-licking. In such a system,  only the most ignorant, shameless, and virtue-signalling idiots will take the lead.

And we wonder why we import everything from vaccines to electronics to food - CHAKULA! Take a provisional visit to any county headquarters and witness the shitstorm directly:  You’ll find a fellow who earns 200k per month, tax-payer money, yet the value that he actually brings back to society is less that 20k. And the fellow goes around sheepishly not knowing that he/she has been robbed of an opportunity to develop a real character that comes with earning a genuine living. No wonder these KFC-loving idiots have nothing to show for their lives besides cars they don’t know how they’re made and potbellies.

The anti-intellectual climate in this colonial product masquerading as Kenya is  astounding. A quick look at the state of Kenya’s higher learning institutions provides  ample evidence. No research going on, and sharp minds die before graduation. The  lecturers are there to tick boxes and collect their paychecks.  What contribution has UoN recently made to society besides their cheap student  politics that end up giving us murderous MPs?

My appeal to anyone who feels that they're being suppressed by incompetence all around, retreat back to yourself. Ignore this hysterical society for a moment. Recall what once  made you a legend. Learn something. We need to respond stronger.

The system should know that if you make evil the means of survival, you can't expect  people to remain good. We got to resist and topple this system. And the surest way to do that is to make stupidity irrelevant. Get back to the trenches; learn advanced math, read  literature kuwa fundi, jua coding, fanya biashara etc. Don't lose your mind because of this nonsense. The country needs you, na hawataki kukubali."

Lemme give my sentiments because this is something that is drastically affecting the country.

This is one of the saddest DMs I received recently:

“What really happened to meritocracy??" Why is Kenyan employment industry a scam. Well, not entirely, but a bigger percentage.

This got me thinking. Do you think the likes of NIS has the so called intellects? Do you thing Ketraco and Kengen has the required skilled labour?

Ironically, I belief the failed system is delivering exactly what we asked for. Constant power outages. Lack of intelligence like when France were notifying us of terror attacks instead of our own NIS. The same NIS even gave Uhuru wrong info about the people and the political  movement around the country. Why?

The same people there are sons and daughters of politicians and other people who know someone who knows someone. It is quite a flawed system and I know we have at one point been  the product of the same system. And I think it impacted differently on us. Look at how the  talented and intelligent youth are staying away from the country.

I will never blame them because they are victims of circumstances. One tragic incident that occurred, was the death of Tony Edgar. Google the name. He was one of the brightest fellows the current generation after topping KCSE back in 2012.

What happened? I keep wondering, what if the likes of Edgar had been absorbed into the Kenyan  job market? Would have the crisis been averted? Alas, the land of the living is not privy to such.

What happened? I keep wondering, what if the likes of Edgar had been absorbed into the Kenyan market?

But look at the likes of KPMG and Deloitte and PWC. Why are they thriving? Just look at their recruitments. You will understand why. They are taking the top-notch minds who know what to do.

Okay, now look at the counties. It is almost laughable. Most have failed because there is no single county in Kenya with transparency. It is all a rigged system.

The daft there are up to nothing. Just sitting and chattering waiting for the paycheck without knowing thay they are crippling an economy. What happened to our nation?!

Kenya is the most promising nation in Africa. It is talented, educated and gifted. Trust me on this, we are blessed. But sadly, we may be heading the Nigerian or South African way.

Following the recent political upheaval, it is evident that we still are choosing the same cunning,  lying leaders. The incompetent leaders with infinite ineptitude are the ones we still choose. So, effectively, we are signing up for this.

Know about GIGO in computers? Garbage in Garbage out? This is Kenya. We get exactly what we give. Maybe we don't want to be saved. We now have a people who believes in free stuff and  give aways instead of toiling. The idea of Culture Tax may be deeply ingrained in us after all.

So, whatever you do with this info is up to you.

Now, as the revolution for true  liberation is blazing the way through spirit of the indomitable Gen Z generation. They have taken  social media by storm after storming the streets with no ounce of fear in the veins. I personally  am proud at the stand this group of young people has taken. I am excited by the possibilities of  what we could achieve if the rest of the generations gave the Gen Z the support they need and  also joined in on the revolution bandwagon.
